Beauty | Kiss proof red lips for the holidays 💋

For some reason, when it starts to get cold outside, everyone wants to put red on their lips! Maybe it has something to do with the lack of tan our faces and bodies that make us want to put more color elsewhere. Whatever it may be, red lips are my go to beauty look out of all of the beauty looks (ask anyone that hangs out with me!) hah Even when its hot outside, you'll usually catch me with some shade of red on these lippies! Either way, holidays are festive and your lips should be just as festive, these are my favorite tips, tricks and shades of red to go grab for the perfect holiday pout! 

I have my go-to combo, which is pictured above and I'll be sharing with you in a moment, but my ultimate tip for a red lip is long wearing! Always grab a long wear product whether it be liner, primer or the lip color itself when exploring bold lip colors like red. 

There's nothing worse than a red lip feathering or smearing. 

Liquid lip color is all the rage right now and there's definitely a reason, because of how long it wears without fading or smearing. 

That is why my ultimate go-to red lip combo is none other than a liquid lip color!

And this particular lip shade may not be up your alley, that's why I suggest to try before you buy! A good red lip is like a good pair of blue jeans, you have to make sure it fits you first.

Also, whatever bold lip you end up going with, rock it with confidence! Don't let that lip wear you, you gotta wear that lip!

Lifestyle | Christmas 2017!

Every year when Christmas rolls around, I know for sure that I have to take a little time to self reflect. The one thing that pops up on the good ol' self reflecting list is "spend more time with family" because let's be honest, there can never be enough family time for most of us. Experiences are the heart of life and my most memorable experiences have been with family on Christmas Eve/ Christmas Day! Here's a little glimpse into my Christmas 2017!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas this year! And for those of you that got more than enough family time this Christmas, 363 days until you have to do it again! haha

Style | The Holiday Overdress Stress

Tis the season to dress up, am I right? 

But have you ever been super unsure whether or not to slip those sparkly pumps on or wear the ol' reliable flats? Or better yet, put on that top that shows off those curves or bundle up because you know it will be freezing even if they have an unlimited supply of hot cocoa kind of lifestyle  at this holiday shindig you're heading to. 

Well have no fear, here are a couple of tips to help avoid showing up to an unofficial ugly sweater party in those sparkly pumps and mini dress! 

1. Bring a coat, no matter what
It's your ultimate fail safe. You can keep that bad boy on if the person that opens the door has only fuzzy socks adorning their cold feet.

2. Keep the colors neutral
I know we all love that bright fuzzy green sweater that we've been saving for this exact moment all year but let the accessories shine with the bright colors, it will look put together and chic without over doing it.

3. Take one of those bright accessories off before walking out the door
And when I say bright, I mean that twinkle multi colored blinking light necklace you have around your neck, take it off. Let them hand those out at the party haha

and last but not least

4. Smile :)
Because whatever you decide to wear to this event, as long as you wear it with confidence, who cares about the rest and go have a merry ol' time!

And let's be honest, we all end up sipping on that spiked eggnog with grandpa and listen to old war stories anyways, which is exactly why we agreed to attend in the first place!

Obsessed: Pom Poms EVERYWHERE!

I never thought I would say this but I've been absolutely obsessed with POMS! Big fuzzy POMS! On my ears, on my purse, on the end of my pencils. They are so darn CUTE! 

So I thought I would share my latest and greatest with you guys!

These amaze balls definitely had some heads turning but I absolutely LOVE them! And I'm not a huge earring wearer but these have been on since I took them out of the box. Poms are making a huge statement this summer/fall season and I'm definitely on board! Sign me up for a pair in every color of the rainbow!

Meet My New Obsession | Nena & Co.

Let me tell you a little bit about me as a human. My personality is quite peculiar when it comes to certain things. Things being in the categories of :

-cute

-simple and chic

-colorful

-holds things

-fuzzy

With these powers combine results in me becoming quite "obsessed" very easily and won't stop until I get my hands on said "obsessed" item(s)!

In this particular case,  I think when I say "obsessed", it just might be an understatement.

This brand has had me up at 6:55 AM every Friday morning since I've discovered them! 

From the pom tassels to the carryalls to the CDB's (that's next on the list ;) , 

I wish I could have them all!

They are all one of a kind and so stinkin' cute! 

I finally got my hands on a Sonia Carryall, I had to bring it around town right away! 

Here's one of our first outings together:

 This purse is the PERFECT size for day to day travel. It's so beautifully made and absolutely everything I expected and more! I can't wait to get my hands on another one! You most likely will see this little beaut on my hip for the rest of my life! Now you know, you're welcome! ♥

Around the Town | Downtown Gilbert, Az

One of my favorite places to visit in Arizona is the Downtown Gilbert area. Everything is just so cute and quaint, just like right out of a movie. And it's absolutely stunning at night time with all the old-fashioned neon signs up in every store front. In my spare time, I always find myself roaming the corridors of this place because it is filled with so many hidden treasures. Anywhere from antique shops to crazy cute coffee places, the lifestyle of this place just intrigues me so. Thanks Lizzy for letting me drag you down there and snapping some quick pics of me!

My favorite cups of coffee have come from this great coffee house  called Bergies ♥

 A perfectly textured, off white wall right across the street from Joe's BBQ! (Best rootbeer in town!)

This adorable little red door connected to Cycle Ave. makes me want to paint my door red! 

And there's murals everywhere along local businesses that are just so darn cute!

If you're ever in the area, be sure to visit this beautiful downtown. I'm sure most of the pictures I post will be from around here so keep a keen eye out, you might just catch me in "DOWNTOWN!" Gilbert that is, that was a slight reference to that Macklemore song but if you didn't have it in your head, now you do. And if you don't know what I'm talking about, youtube it. You're welcome.

My current photography obsession!

The lifestyle of a photographer consists of always finding something fun and new to shoot! So as of lately, I've been obsessed with prism pictures so I ordered one off the Zon (amazon for the non-hipsters). Seeing these beautiful pictures of people with rainbows in their faces and wondering how they did that?! Well now I know how and Im going crazy with it! Taking pictures of rainbows reflections everywhere!

Being able to capture the beautiful desert landscape with a prism, I'm so stoked! Right when I got it in the mail I ran outside and took as many pictures as possible before I started to sweat my brains off! I got this little baby from Amazon!
